Become A Gas Leak Detective!

This is the landing page for Become a Gas Leak Detective! A family-friendly, Do-it-Yourself curriculum for finding gas leaks in your neighborhood from Mothers Out Front—Worcester. Learn about how leaks threaten the climate, hurt vulnerable people, damage our trees, and how you can take action!

This curriculum grew from a community-based participatory research partnership between Mothers Out Front Worcester, the Wylie Environmental Data Justice (WEDJ) lab at Northeastern University’s Social Science Environmental Health Institute, and the Civic Science for Environmental Futures Collaborative at Arizona State University. This research has been coordinated by Sarah Lerman-Sinkoff through their doctoral studies at Clark University’s Graduate School of Geography. Worcester-based artist Hana Lasell @deirdresdaughter illustrated and laid out the guide. Funding for this project came from the JPB Foundation for Environmental Health Fellowship, and the Marsh Institute’s Geller Fund at Clark University.
